The building functions from the top down, with the intention of highlighting the Netherland’s position mostly below sea level. The project has filled the gap of poverty, local workers had trained to construct a building by themself then trained the next generation. As a result of the lack of energy resources, the climate is the most important context in the school that needs to be considered. The architect provided many solutions to this building that related to the climate in Gando.
